Vipassana is one of the most ancient meditative techniques of India. Translated from Pali, it means "to see things as they are." The practice is based on mindful observation of the breath, bodily sensations, and the flow of thoughts without judgment or reaction. Regular practice reduces stress levels, develops concentration, and builds emotional resilience.
The practitioner sits still and observes the breath, bodily sensations, and thoughts without judgment. Impartial self-observation gradually develops. Additional formats include walking meditation, body scan, and week-long silent retreats.

Mental effect
Stress and anxiety reduction, development of concentration, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.
Contraindications
Mental disorders (schizophrenia, severe depression). Epilepsy. Panic attacks in the acute phase. Suicidal thoughts.
