Prenatal Pilates is a Pilates program adapted to the stage of pregnancy. The exercises are gentler than in a regular class: no sharp twists and no moves that put strong pressure on the abdomen, with support and calm breathing. Classes help support the back and posture, strengthen the pelvic floor and teach you to breathe in movement. Start and continue classes only with approval from the doctor who manages your pregnancy.

How does the class go
Classes are on a mat, often with a ball, roller or cushions. The teacher picks exercises for your stage and how you feel: later in pregnancy there is more work lying on your side, sitting and on all fours. The pace is calm and you do not hold your breath. The class ends with stretching and rest.
Effect
Physical effect
