Hang (handpan) — a steel percussion instrument shaped like a "flying saucer," producing soft melodic tones in a chosen scale. Unlike a gong with its overtone waves or singing bowls with contact vibration, the hang produces a warm and smooth sound that is easy to "drown in." The session belongs to Nada yoga — the tradition of working with sound as a tool for Meditation — and is suitable even for those who have difficulty tolerating sharp or loud vibrations.

You lie down on a mat with a blanket and pillow while the teacher plays a hang drum for 30–60 minutes. The melodic tones of the scale form a smooth sound environment in which you can simply listen and observe. Nothing is required of you — no poses, no concentration, no stopping of thoughts. Part of the practice takes place in silence.
